In addition to seeing a handful of tweets about book covers this week, I got an email from a friend about a great book cover, and overheard a conversation in a local book store about whether it was worth buying an unknown book based on the cover alone. All of which got me thinking of my (current) favourite book cover:
An amazing, creative cover for an amazing, creative book!
This cover reflects he novel a bit better than the cover on my copy. It includes male and female figures, representing the two duellists/potential romantic couple. Goes with the marketing attempt to promote the book as a cross between Twilight and Harry Potter. The novel, which is excellent, better fits into Neil Gaiman’s fantasy style than marketers’ effort to portray the novel as Romantic fantasy.
Thanks for the comment!
